Meaning of Sigil

A type of symbol used in magick.

The term usually refers to the pictorial signature of a deity or spirit. In modern usage, especially in the context of chaos magick, sigil refers to a symbolic representation of a practitioner's desired outcome.

The term sigil is derived from Latin sigillum (pl. sigilla or sigil), meaning fixed seal.

Sigil symbolize the desired intention. When properly created and awakened, it can hold and evoke tremendous amounts of life-altering energy.

Sigil can store spells. When we awaken a sigil, it creates an imprint in our subconscious mind as living energy.

Every time you are in the presence of the sigil, the energy of our desire has already come to pass through activities in the subconscious.

Sigil Magic

A sigil is a carved, drawn, or painted symbol that is believed to have magical properties. Magick is the art of focusing one’s will or intent in order to bring about change. So sigil magick is creating specific symbols to influence a person, situation, or environment.

The sigil I make is a psychoactive geometric figure that stores the power you need to achieve your intentions.

This sigil can also be a personal and customized talisman for protection to support you in your daily life, keeping bad energy and force away from you.

If you sense in your home that there is dark energy all around, you want to make sure that every step you take in your life is blessed and protected. A protection sigil is the perfect tool for doing so.

Sigil and seal

The sigil and seal are both symbols used in various magical systems. A sigil is typically a symbol created for a specific magical purpose, such as protection, blessing, or summoning. Sigil is usually drawn or written out and then charged with energy or intention. Seals, on the other hand, are symbols that are believed to contain powerful energies, often linked to a spirit or deity. Seals are used to call upon the energy of the spirit or deity for a specific purpose. Seals are typically drawn or engraved into an object, such as a talisman or amulet.

The Chaos Magick method of creating a sigil

Artist and occultist Austin Osman Spare (1886–1956) developed his own unique method of creating and using sigils, which had a huge effect on modern occultism. Spare did not agree with the mediaeval practice of using supernatural beings, arguing that such beings were simply complexes in the unconscious and could be actively created through the process of making sigils.

The chaos magick method of creating a sigil involves composing a clarified statement. Next, you remove all of the vowels and duplicate consonants, then scramble up the remaining letters to create the sigil.

To finish the work, the sigil is typically burned after its creation. Or at least that’s how the author of the article described their method and how it worked for them. (Some methods don’t involve removing the vowels, but only the duplicate letters.)

How can you activate your sigil?

Activating a sigil is a crucial step in sigil magick, as it infuses the sigil with your intention and energy, making it ready to manifest your desires.

From my perspective, I will use radionics to charge your sigil, but from your perspective,it will be better to activate it yourself.

One of the simplest ways to activate a sigil is through meditation. Follow these steps:

Find a quiet space where you can sit or lie comfortably without interruptions.

Hold the sigil in your hand or place it in front of you where you can easily see it.
Close your eyes and take slow, deep breaths, clearing your mind from distractions.
Visualise your intention and desired outcome, feel it with all your senses, and see yourself as having already achieved it.
Open your eyes and focus on the sigil, transferring the energy of your visualisation onto it. Continue this process until you feel that the sigil is charged with your intention.
Now, take your sigil and hold it in your left hand. Place your right hand over your sigil. The left hand receives energy, and the right hand gives it. When you place the sigil on the left hand, the universal flow begins to flow into the sigil from the underside. With your right hand over the sigil, you are feeding it the energy you created in your visualisations in Step 4.
Close your eyes, and once again visualise your desire as if it had already occurred. Hold this visual sensation for at least 60 seconds. Now, remove your right hand, open your eyes, and casually begin looking at the sigil in your hand.
Consider the circle, and then look at the diagram. Trace your eyes over the lines and then the circle that encapsulates them. This simple diagram is the sigil that holds the living energy of your desires.
Now, we begin to gaze casually at the empty part of the circle. No area within the circle was covered by lines or shapes. Do not pay attention to the circle or diagram contained within it. Ignore it. As you gaze at the empty part of the sigil, you will begin to notice that your eyes begin to come out of focus and then refocus several times. This may result in a sigil-flashing or disappearance, and then reappearance. Keep gazing at the empty part of the sigil until a sigil flash is experienced. Once this happens, the energy of the sigil is awakened. This means that you have given birth to them. In other words, it now has consciousness. In addition, the energy, meaning, and purpose of the sigil are imprinted in the subconscious mind. This sigil is now the living and visual representation of the reality you desire. The first is that the object of desire already exists. There is also an energetic connection between you, that is, the present reality, and Sigil, that is, the alternative present reality.

How can you recharge your Sigil?

You may recharge your sigil in four ways. The simplest way is to place it over your mobile phone every time you charge it. Placing it out in the sun on a hot day or out when there is a full moon

Is it dangerous to draw a sigil for myself to get more success or money? How can I deactivate the sigil?

A sigil is simply a symbol you create and imbue with magical intent. The most likely “bad” result is that it won’t work.

Creating the signature can be done with many different methods.

Choose whatever suits you and your needs best. Try to keep your intention simple but specific.

Ex: “Everything that I am working for is mine.” When creating your signature, you need a way to fuel or power it. Don’t use yourself as a power source, or you’ll drain your own energy reserves.

Some people draw them on paper and burn the paper to activate them. If you want a way to deactivate it, keep it intact so you can just destroy it when you’re done.

Can sigil magick be used to interfere with the lives of others?

Sigil magick is that it can be used to try and control, coerce, or otherwise interfere with the lives of others.

Please don’t do this.

Just don’t, okay? It’s not worth it.
